Excited to change the face of local commerce by designing experiences that thousands of merchants use worldwide to reach a marketplace of more than 20 Million active monthly customers? This is exactly what Merchant Experience Product Designers at Groupon do every day. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team in Chicago.

You’re a good fit you’re passionate about UX, and helping local businesses succeed. Your extremely detail-oriented, organized and willing to push teams with creative and constructive solutions. A great communicator with keen design judgment comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams - who stays calm in a storm. Someone who enjoys collaborating with teams to stay focused and effective, and can demonstrate success doing this in similar contexts. If you don’t know an answer you’ll dig until you find it. You know when to pull the right people into situations, and when to lead through your own initiative. You can sell your ideas to internal clients, because you’re an amazing presenter who can articulate well constructed rationale behind your design decisions. Your data-informed, because you know good product design isn’t about anyone’s personal taste. You love the process of understanding pain points and solving real customer problems, and your instinct is to verify your assumptions with real people who use the tools your designing.

Your excited to collaborate with other designers, user researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers and data-nerds to craft simple solutions. Like to set the agenda, and recognize designing high-impact products that result in significant business impact is more important than winning awards. You think if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. You can contribute at all stages of experience design – from product strategy to interaction design, to specifying glorious pixels.
