Freelance Graphic Designer Job Description

We're looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer (12 weeks duration) who has a passion for e-commerce and the floral industry. This person will work closely with FTD's Graphic Designers, Sr. Art Director and Sr. Copywriter to develop communications that support all of our brand campaigns across a variety of tactics. These include; website assets, emails, display ads, printed collateral and other tactics identified by the Creative Director and Marketing Director.

Responsibilities:

Supports overflow of daily design work in core channels:

• Legacy Site Assets
• Email (Retention and Partner)
• Display
• Affiliate
• Social
• Printed collateral

Qualified candidates must:

• Be able to bring innovative, fresh ideas to FTD
• Have a beautiful, modern design aesthetic
• Be able to build out campaign assets based on the direction of the Creative Director
• Understand all modern print and digital best practices
• Think mobile-first when creating assets for digital use
• Understand print pre-flight and how to prepare and name files for digital use
• Be able to quickly gather assets needed to make designs
• Be able to quickly understand how to navigate the company's workflow systems
• Understand how important adhering to brand standards is
• Prioritize and self-manage the projects assigned to them
• Be a team player and have a positive attitude
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related area of focus
