Your Responsibilities
As a User Experience Researcher located in Chicago, IL you will be responsible for collaborating with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and UX Designers to drive the overall design and development of the John Deere Sales Center Dealer web application used by John Deere Dealers around the world. Your primary responsibility will be around user interface usability and research. Your duties will include:
- Conducting UX research for dealership systems
- Conducting UX research at dealer events
- Working with UX designers to implement solutions to concerns uncovered in research
- Creating research reports, user journey maps, workflows, personas, day-in-the-life scenarios, and use case summaries to help deepen the organizational understanding of our users
- Working with designers and software engineers to prototype and evaluate alternate solutions
What Skills You Need
- 4 or more years of professional experience in UX research
- 4 or more years of experience using a variety of research tools and methodology
- 3 or more years of work experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
- Effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions
What Makes You Stand Out
- Expertise in Mural or similar tool
- Knowledge of statistics and research study design
- Experience in design thinking
- UX design experience (e.g. creating wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and specifications)
- Knowledge of dealer workflows, challenges, and needs
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Research, or equivalent experience
