Promet Source, a Chicago based web and mobile application development company, is looking to hire a full-time Technical Services Team Leader to guide decisions with regards to the technological interests of a company, outline the company's technological vision, implement technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the company's business needs. We’re looking for someone who understands business functions, sales, consulting, technical requirements, and best practices.

As a leading technology provider of web services, we focus on complex web development, Open Source CMS support and iOS mobile applications. We are dedicated to open source software solutions by providing managed services for Drupal-based websites, products, and applications.

 Experience: 

• • 7+ years software engineering and IT experience
  • Demonstrated mastery of best practices for Drupal development and architecture
  • Proven track record of success in leadership positions

Duties and responsibilities:

• Technology Team Lead
  • Provide thought leadership, innovation and creativity as it relates to Technology at Promet Source
  • Work in a consultative fashion with other department heads as an advisor of technologies and technical resources 
  • Work with management team to develop and implement processes, documentation,  and tools which help increase the effectiveness of the department
  • Team lead and manager of Promet Solutions Architect Team of about 5 people
  • Work with Human Resources to review and codify meaningful job descriptions, employee development plans, succession planning and career development for the TD practice members as well as technical review of potential candidates
  • Participate in the resource planning process with project managers with regard to creating project teams with the requisite skill sets to successfully delivery client projects
  • Participate directly in or assign team members to participate in pre-sales engineering and project estimation efforts
  • Practical experience with project management techniques and practices in the technology space -- Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, and / or Waterfall techniques

• Client Experience:
  •  Experience with and ability to:
    • Define the business objectives of a client project
    • Codify the technical requirements needed to successfully deliver client applications that supports the business objectives of the project
    • Monitor and oversee the technical development of client projects to ensure that Promet is delivering projects that meet the technical requirements and business objectives of the client
    • Work closely with Project Managers and Technology Delivery team members to manage delivery and ensure smooth execution of client projects
    • Ensure that technical work delivered as part of a client project adheres to generally accepted industry best practices as well as complies with Promet’s standards of practice
    • Liaise with stakeholders, UX team, other Technical groups and 3rd party contractors to create optimal solutions for customer needs
    • Assist in project management of client projects with regard to sprint planning, technical project planning, estimations and task execution

• Drupal Experience
  • Demonstrate mastery of best practices for Drupal development and architecture
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT, Mercurial, VSTS etc.
  • Experience in DevOps practices, processes and deployment models (Cloud and On-prem).
  • Experience in web architecture, development and technologies
