At VillageMD, we are committed to helping patients achieve greater health by delivering the most effective, accessible and efficient healthcare in the world through partnership with primary care physicians. We're in a unique position to impact everyone in primary care from independent, family-owned practices to premier health systems. As a Business Intelligence Architect at our organization you will be independently accountable for turning visualization prototypes and data models into well engineered solutions that improve the effectiveness of primary care for doctors and patients.

What are some examples of projects you’ll be leading as a BI Architect at VillageMD?

  • Independent accountability for turning visualization prototypes and subject area data models into well engineered and performant visualization solutions
  • Provide design and implementation expertise in the development of the VillageMD visualization methodology and enterprise data infrastructure

What will make you successful here?

  • A desire to be accountable for owning problems from design to implementation
  • A drive to deliver high code quality and help others do the same through code reviews
  • A bias for action and pragmatic solutions
  • A preference for scaling small teams by bringing to bear automated testing and engineering best practices to deliver features
  • A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through effective communication and doing what you say you will do
  • A talent for operating effectively at various levels of abstraction
  • An aptness to distill complex, technical topics articulately to a non-technical audience

What you might do in your first year:

  • Participate in building software products and solutions that utilize data visualizations to drive workflow
  • Optimize and enhance dashboards to improve the end-user experience and product performance
  • Craft, maintain, and lead product documentation to meet internal and customer standards.
  • Provide technical support to the Operations and R&D teams during testing and after deployment.

The following experience is relevant to us:

  • Expert level proficiency in SQL
  • 7+ years of experience designing solutions using Qlik, PowerBI, or Tableau
  • Experience in healthcare or a similar industry facing challenges such as complex payment lifecycle and multiple source systems
  • Ability to autonomously run initiatives through to fruition while ably handling the ambiguity of an evolving environment
  • Familiarity and experience in more than one data storage technology (MSSQL, Postgres, S3, Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j)

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
