Cloud Security Engineering is a DevOps team at TransUnion that focuses on building first-of-its-kind security products and services for the enterprise. As a member of this innovative agile team, you will collaborate with others to develop and maintain capabilities required to secure data and applications operating in dynamic cloud computing environments. In this CI/CD workspace you will construct and integrate security solutions with many popular vendor and open source technologies, internally developed applications and cloud native services.
Engineers on this team will be challenged to provide technical and thought leadership that simplify, secure and optimize our cloud environment. To succeed in this role, you need to be courageous, eager to learn, able to work through ambiguity, communicate effectively, problem solve, and foster idea generation.
As the Lead Full Stack Developer - IAM, you will develop new services and enhance existing aligned to the creation, modification and governance of IAM resources, identities and entities in AWS.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of software development and/or full-stack engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Python development
  • Cloud IAM - IAM resources, identities and entities in AWS.
  • Ample experience operating with AWS, APIs and event-driven automation
  • Strong proficiencies with python and popular scripting and programming language frameworks
  • Advocate of CI/CD best practices and robust experience working with technologies such as git, Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible
  • Ability to translate policies into event-driven as-code solutions
  • Good understanding of micro-service principles and immutable architecture
  • Passionate about innovation and enjoys the challenges of creating something new
  • Displays strong technical and thought leadership skills and can collaborate with others to successful deliver large, complex initiatives
  • Not only identifies potential problems, but is quick to present options to overcome or bypass those issues
  • Stays current with evolving technologies and can effectively communicate trends and opportunities
  • Continuously looks for opportunities to simplify and optimize technology and processes
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and finds value and methods for up-skilling others
  • Self-starter that demonstrates a solid understanding of the impact of own work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Impact You'll Make:

  • Develop and implement a robust suite of security products/services to align with organizational efforts to modernize our growing global cloud architecture
  • Contribute to the technical direction of cloud security in all areas of policy, standards, strategy, architecture, solutions and governance
  • Improve critical security capabilities to simplify compliance and provide value-added security enhancements for enterprise IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
