The Director of Solutions Architecture is responsible for engaging clients with Sales team to identify, quantify, and build innovative Facilities Maintenance solutions that align to their unique core business strategies. Sales engagement activities include, but are not limited to, introductory presentations to prospects, demonstrating and answering questions of SMS technology, and building and presenting business assessments / business cases.

Responsibilities

  • Present with the sales team the SMS solution to client C-level executives.
  • Identify client's current state and desired state (short and long-term program objectives) of the customer solution while identifying the client’s opportunities for improvements
  • Provide product, service, and or technical engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations and reports; maintains customer records
  • Participate in most sales calls, trade shows, and other client engagement events
  • Build custom demos and present the SMS technology, processes, and operations to clients and prospects
  • Act as subject matter expert for the Sales team for both technology and operational questions
  • Grow and maintain a strong familiarity of SMS current operational capabilities and services
  • Regularly develop, enhance, and record demo scripts of SMS technology (features, benefits, and value).
  • Provide training, leadership, coaching, analytical support, and/or mentoring to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality of internal and external client data, system capabilities, and SMS product road maps
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Travel expected up to 35% of the time
  • Create compelling presentations for sales efforts and participate in sales calls and engage clients to understand opportunities for improvements.
  • Grow a strong familiarity of SMS operations and customer challenges
  • Perform and build ad-hoc demo and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Track and report industry trends back to internal team for learning

  • Ability to describe complex concepts in simple terms
  • Basic understanding of sales process, methodology and data

  • Advanced proficiency in building, growing, and developing a team; including department structure design and resourcing
  • Advanced proficiency in coaching and developing individual team members to reach their potential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in property management, facilities management, consultancy, solutions architect, and or pre-sales is required

  Other Relevant Qualifications

  • Experience working in retail a plus
