Job Description

Trunk Club is looking for an Engineer II to join our technology team. As an Engineer II you will build and maintain software solutions that provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business. The scope, responsibility and accountability at this level supports infrastructure and operational components, applications, device software, services or networks with minimal supervision. 

As part of the Platform Team, you will play an instrumental part in the strategy, planning and execution of the migration of the Trunk Club platform to the Nordstrom technology ecosystem. You should enjoy being surrounded by talented engineers, learning from others. As part of this team, you will help design the interaction between multiple code modules and work towards being a subject matter expert on the Trunk Club technology products and platform.

• Demonstrates knowledge beyond a singular platform to encompass multiple interdependent services both on premise and within SaaS or cloud infrastructure. 

• Understands relevant architecture, network or systems in their domain.  

• Able to make technical trade off decisions and provide recommendations on the best options. 

• Writes code that is clear, concise, tested and easily understood by others. 

• Helps with reviewing other's work (including code, system and network design work, and other documentation), and maintains appropriate documentation. 

• Adheres to engineering and security standards.  

• Builds solutions that are testable, maintainable and efficient. 

• Willingness to work in and uplift legacy code. 

• Have a high tolerance for ambiguity and can make sound decisions to meet the mission/goals of the project. 

• You have a growth mindset, able to use your experience to quickly learn an unfamiliar language or framework when you need to, and to adapt to our constantly changing environment.
