What we need:

Our dynamic eCommerce Platform team is rapidly growing as we optimize our digital ordering channels and technology innovations to create competitive advantages for our restaurants around the globe. We are seeking Android Engineers to develop both consumer-facing and enterprise operational applications for the restaurant industry. Our ideal candidates can bring fresh ideas from their own experience and are eager to tackle new problems across the stack. In this role, expect to use the latest frameworks and contribute to them as needed. Our suite of applications leverages peer to peer replication, network service discovery, and embedded web services to create a robust and resilient experience for our end users.

You will:

• Help build a next gen P2P application for eventually consistent data.
• Create a complex data driven UI, where data and UI are equally important. The data drives observable, models and complex pricing calculations while the UI listens to data and uses best practices for component hierarchy.
• Our cloud environment is a series of micro-services built using a custom framework that allows developers to start developing quickly with well designed patterns, but also allows tons of extensibility and complexity when it's needed.
• Use of OOP design patterns when they're helpful in modularity, and Functional patterns when they ease development.

You have:

• B.S. in CS, CE, or Equivalent
• A strong understanding of CS fundamentals such as Algorithms and Data Structures

We like:

• Published apps, libraries, or open source projects in your portfolio
• Experience with design pattern in UI (MVP, MVVM, MVC) or at the system level—Dependency Injection, Observables, etc...
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Experience with unit testing frameworks
• Experience with distributed systems such as P2P, WebSockets, Message Queues, and CAP
• Experience consuming and/or designing RESTful services
• Hackathon experience, blog, or anything else showcasing your passion for software
