Our award-winning platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) allows customers to shop, quote and buy auto repair and maintenance subscriptions online. We co-market with our partners directly to their most valuable asset – customers, members, policy holders and drivers. Our market is the 200MM people in the USA who need a convenient way to save money on car repairs and maintenance services.
It's with that in mind that ForeverCar is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative individual to join our team. Our engineering team is lean, yet effective. As a front-end engineer, you will be responsible for the client side of our service. Your primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in VueJS. You will be responsible for building a world class front-end using modern, best practices. You will be a key member of the engineering team helping us shape and improve the visualization of our B2C ecommerce platform for our thousands of customers and millions of visitors.
As a Front-End Engineer, your responsibilities will include
- Develop tested, idiomatic, and documented Vue.JS, HTML and CSS software applications
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Build applications with high usability and performance across platforms
- Integrate data with various back-end services and databases
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Cooperate with the design team to match visual design intent
Qualifications
- 4+ years of proven working experience in front end development using JavaScript, Vue.JS and HTML5
- Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of browsers, APIs, caching, proxies, and other web services used
- Expertise with common, responsive UI web frameworks and development tools. e.g., jQuery, Material Design, Sass, Git, etc
- Experience building and maintaining an e-commence application with multiple product lines
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Exposure or experience in Python/Django is preferred
