KnowledgeHound exists to help the world better understand people through data. Our mission is to transform how data is used to discover new insights and empower human driven decisions.

We are changing the game as to how companies ingest, save and recycle their market research. We work in the market research industry which is full of antiquated tools that make it difficult to access and use data. Our aim is to use modern technology along a with wide range of relevant data to make it easy to research market behavior and to provide valuable insights for our customers. We are about 5 years old, have a fully working product with Fortune 1000 paying customers, and upward of 1MM+ in annual revenue.

Job description & responsibilities

As the Frontend Engineer, you will specialize in crafting a world-class experience for our customers. We’re looking for people who empathize with users and take pride in solving problems through elegant interactions. You will be responsible for building and designing delightful UIs and data visualizations for our data heavy platform. The Frontend Engineer will work with the design and software engineering teams to solve problems and should be able to own projects from design through to implementation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a front-end development role.
• Deep understanding of Javascript, HTML, CSS, and at least one UI framework (we currently use React).
• Experience with at least some of the following - Webpack, Babel, SCSS, Flow.
• Expertise in writing well-tested JavaScript.
• Strong communications skills and ability to work in a team setting.
• Experience building front-end platforms and designing UIs.
• Strong attention to details, understanding that they matter.
• Solid understanding of usability and visual design.
• Ability to build quickly within an agile team structure.
• Ability to understand business goals, recognize client needs, and link them to specific technical solutions.
• Inventiveness and openness in problem solving.
• Passion for learning and ability to dive in to new technologies quickly.
