About the Team:

Valor Labs is an internal-facing software product team committed to gathering data and identifying signals to support the investment process. As a member of the Valor Labs team you’ll contribute towards a well-built internal software application for generating investment insights. As a team, our mission is to build tools that augment our investment teams’ ability to make great decisions.  We work directly for the CTO and our product manager is the CEO.

About the Role:

• You will build responsive web applications using React Hooks and Material UI in a PWA
• You will build modern REST APIs
• You will closely collaborate with product designers and Valor investors to help build a highly valuable software product
• You will have autonomy to help shape the future of software engineering at Valor by bringing your ideas for improving and automating what we do and how we do it

We’re excited about candidates that have…

• 2+ years of software development experience, with significant contributions that you can talk to
• Exceptional coding skills in Javascript
  • Additional skills in Python, especially Flask, Django or FastAPI are a major plus
• Experience with React (including Hooks and Context) or similar front-end framework
• Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience with any of the following is a bonus:
  • SQL skills and working knowledge of multiple database types are a plus
  • DevOps
  • Modern ETL tools (Apache Beam, Kafka, Spark or similar)
