Job Description
We’re looking for a full stack engineer to join our Platform team. Platform Engineers build developer tools, maintain our platform, and drive foundational changes to Reverb.com.
At Reverb, we deploy to production many times a day - but we’re always looking for ways to make our developers more productive. This role will focus on our design system. As stewards of Reverb’s architecture, the Platform team prioritizes mentorship and collaboration. You will have a foundational influence on our frontend development practices through standards and automation and contribute to architectural changes across our stack.
Projects you might work on in your first 12 months:
Developing drop-in front-end components for our design system that prioritize standards and accessibility
Automate testing and documentation of design system components
Qualifications
Deliver well-tested, peer-reviewed developer tools that allow our engineers and designers to move quickly
Collaborate with other engineering teams
Support developers with integrating the design system into their development process
Make well-reasoned, technical decisions backed by data while understanding tradeoffs
2+ years of full-stack experience developing web applications
2+ years of experience working in React, Rails or HTML/CSS
Experience with CI/CD
Nice to Have
Experience with build tooling (e.g. webpack) for modern JavaScript frameworks
Experience with using design systems
