We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to own the deployment and monitoring process of our platform for our growing team. We need someone that is comfortable with a cloud-native approach and that can relentlessly monitor and react to production issues to ensure high availability of our deployed commerce stack.

The ideal candidate has expert-level knowledge of the AWS platform and experience working on high traffic applications.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years professional experience working in network and virtual server environments
  • 3+ years experience as a DevOps engineer or similar
  • 3+ years experience in Javascript, NodeJS, and Microservices
  • Hands-on DevOps skills with AWS
  • Proficient in Linux Base Networking
  • Solid communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain bleeding edge web solution for financial professionals
  • Able to effectively self-manage and communicate anticipated timelines
  • Able to work with evolving requirements in an agile environment
  • Work on a small team with a hyper focus on quality
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
  • Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
  • Debug, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex, production software
  • Write very high-quality code and scripts that are robust and easy to maintain

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience securing applications within cloud platforms
  • Working knowledge of AWS console, CLI and APIs including, but not limited to:
  • Controlling access with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) service
  • Defining AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) to isolate customer environments
  • Implementing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to access services in VPCs
  • Defining Security Groups to limit access to services on EC2 instances
  • Using CloudFormation to implement Infrastructure as Code
  • Using Bash, AWS CLI, AWS Systems Manager to patch and maintain deployments
  • Using CodeDeploy to automate application deployments
  • Knowledge of secure architecture and design principles
  • Knowledge of Risk Controls frameworks and procedures
  • Experience conducting static code reviews and applying security auditing and/or penetration testing principles and tools
  • Working knowledge of OWASP Web/API vulnerabilities (CSRF, XSS, SQLI, etc.) and compensating controls
  • Should be familiar with various Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring and Centralized logging framework
