Job Summary

The Information Security Analyst will work in our growing IT Security team. You will monitor our computer networks for security issues, install security software, and document any security issues or breaches you find. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer, and be based in the corporate headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Responsibilities and Duties

As the Information Security Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Define, implement and maintain corporate security and compliance policies
  • Maintain customer information security program compliant with the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • Implement internal controls adherent to the Trust Services Principles (TSPs) in order to pass SOC 2 compliance audit and/or ISO 27001 certification
  • Meet external audit requirements (customer security questionnaires, audits, etc.)
  • Audit activities of security administrators on various software applications
  • Perform operational risk assessment (OSA) process for all organization facilities and conduct/coordinate internal and external security audits
  • Assess and participate in the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning
  • Protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction
  • Maintain data and monitor security access (including regular access reviews)
  • Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause
  • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
  • Security awareness training
  • Coordinate security plans with outside vendors (security annual security reviews and remediation)

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal Business Experience

  • Master of Business Administration in Information Systems with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience (CISM, CISA, GIAC certifications are a plus).
  • Strong understanding of GLBA and IS/IT risk assessment, the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council (FFIEC) IT examination handbooks, and National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework.
  • CISSP certification is required for this role.

  • 5 Years of experience in a hands-on security role implementing and tracking compliance with security policies.

  • Forensics & Troubleshooting
  • AV and anti-malware
  • TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching
  • ISO27001 assessment
  • Scripting languages (json, python, etc.)
  • Cloud computing
  • Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Identity and access management (IAM) solutions
  • Endpoint protection technologies and techniques
  • Encryption
  • Access control methodologies (MAC, DAC. RBAC)
  • Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools and network scanners (Tenable and Logrhythm experience a plus)
  • Data loss protection (DLP)
