Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to the design, implementation and testing of application code.
- Participate in architecture and product design sessions of technical solutions
- Prioritize support tickets to identify bugs, plan and implement the fixes, and deploy the code using continuous integration and deployment tools
- Support and contribute to other workstreams as needed (DevOps, QA Automation, and Documentation)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other Engineering Degree
- 3+ years professional experience building enterprise-level applications working with the JVM-stack (Java or Scala)
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns), and strong programming and analytical skills
- Understanding and experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns and the ability to develop quality software using that knowledge
- Agile software development experience
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Cloud native development experience and certification (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Familiarity with RESTful web services, APIs and distributed systems
- Familiarity with common JavaScript libraries (Angular, React, jQuery)
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps processes (Continuous Integration/Delivery, Automation, etc.)
- Familiarity with one or more ALM suites (Atlassian preferred)
- Comfortable with working in a fast-paced, agile project environment with small, focused teams
