The Role:

higi SH is looking for talented Junior Software Engineer to join the team and make it easier for people to live their healthiest. We are looking for someone who has strong problem-solving skills and an enthusiasm for tackling complex problems to join us and help build the next wave of game-changing features!  Through an assortment of compelling platforms, including health kiosks, mobile apps, and a web portal, higi works to raise consumer awareness, incentivize adoption of healthy behaviors and improve life overall.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a talented group of engineers to tackle challenging, complex, and fascinating problems
• Build features that enable delivering a multitude of dynamic content to our nationwide network of over 11,000 kiosks, our mobile apps, and our web portal
• Utilize industry-best engineering practices, architectural patterns, and cutting-edge Microsoft cloud technologies
• Collaborate with the fellow engineers to envision and propose scalable, maintainable, well-architected solutions

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
• 2 to 3 years of experience
• Strong understanding of basic features in at least one programming language
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Basic understanding of multithreaded programming concepts is a plus
• Understanding of RESTful web services is a plus
• Working knowledge of C# is a plus
• Experience with both Microsoft SQL Server as well as NoSQL / non-relational database technologies is a plus
