This position will be based out of Naperville, IL with the flexibility to split time working in-office and remotely.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Lead Backend Software Engineer, you will play an integral role in shaping the direction of the back-end architecture at KeHE. You will be involved in decisions that affect how our engineers deliver the product all the way down to how our end users use the product. This is a collaborative environment where you will lead, train, mentor and learn from others while using your own expertise and influence to effect positive change. You will be looked to as an engineering mentor and key influencer in technological direction that have direct, positive benefits to the business.

Essential Functions

Your Skills:

• Coach, Mentor and Manage a team of high performing engineers
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems with an AWS ecosystem (Lambda microservices, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, S3, Aurora Postgres RDS)
• Experience with .NET Core, Postgres and MS SQL | Entity Framework Core | Redis | ElastiCache
• SOLID understanding of design patterns
• Experience delivering enterprise-level solutions from conception to commercialization
• Ability to explain concepts/ideas to a broader audience

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with optimizing applications for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Frontend skills utilizing the following technology: JavaScript | Angular | Bootstrap | rxjs | ngrx | HTML | CSS | SASS
