BlazePortfolio is seeking an exceptional Lead Software Developer that has what it takes to deliver industry leading software products.  Lead Developer will be responsible for the development of our SaaS trading and investment management software. The Lead Developer will play a critical role in the planning, design and development of our current and Next Generation software solutions.  The Lead Developer will be responsible for leading the software development team, implementing best practices and to ensure that the software products meet the high standards of our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems
• Hands-on development, support, troubleshooting, problem solving and performance optimization
• Implement best practices and review code with offshore (India)development team
• System integration and API development
• Provide consultation and technical leadership in project life cycle planning
• Identifies opportunities to leverage/improve the direction of existing infrastructure and application components
• Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations etc. in order to advise others of strategic technology direction

Experience and Requirements:

• Computer science or engineering degree from four-year university or relevant experience
• Minimum 4 years of application software development experience
• Demonstrated understanding of software design, analysis and programming using Microsoft Stack such as C#, WCF, MSMQ, and MSSQL.
• Experience with .Net Object Relational Mapping (.Net ORM Framework)
• Experience with API Development and Best Practices
• Proficiency with Angular and HTML5
• Detailed and creative problem solver
• Excellent math skills
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects at once

Bonus Points:

• Experience with nHibernate, XPO or related ORM tools
• Experience with FIX Protocol
• Experience with investment management or trading software
