We help clients solve Big Data Constraints.

DAAP integrates data sources (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Whole Foods Market, Costco, Amazon, and more) into a single platform that provides one common view of category hierarchies and brand/sub-brand structures. We build a custom harmonized database that cleans and integrates the data so it can be used for the development of insights and tactical, strategic recommendations. We are looking to add a Lead Tableau Developer to our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the client’s data desires and translate this into meaningful, efficient dashboards and visualizations using leading platforms, primarily Tableau
  • Translate complex reporting needs into technical specifications, including calculations, custom groups, parameters, filtering criteria, aggregations, etc.
  • Tune complex workbooks and large datasets for optimal performance and maintainability
  • Help manage the publication and management of a suite of custom workbooks in Tableau Server across a multi-tenant application
  • Troubleshoot issues as they occur, identify criticality and impact, and provide appropriate workarounds
  • Work on multiple priorities and/or projects and products simultaneously, with the ability to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Participate and potentially lead requirements gathering meetings with clients about their analytics needs, with the ability to extract and document the goal, audience, key questions it is intended to answer or address, as well as functionality, delivery, etc.
  • Iterative development of deliverables with open feedback loop

Qualifications:

  • Proven capabilities, including 2+ years of work experience
  • Experience with key business concepts/analysis and working knowledge of the CPG/Retail industry is highly desirable
  • 2+ years Tableau application development, including visualizations, parameters, and report optimization
  • Innovative thinker with analytical and critical thinking skills;
  • A genuine interest in solving complex business problems
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently and as part of a team
  • Strong experience in creating visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and preferably one other data visualization tool
  • Experience and understanding of ETL tools
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional data and integration of disparate data
  • Experience capturing and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with individuals with varying levels of technical abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
