Groupon Operations and Compliance Tools team is in charge of the design, implementation, and operational support of internal systems that span business side and engineering departments We are looking for a passionate, energetic and technology enthusiast eager to work at a rapid pace with the flexibility to work across our suite of technologies.

We are looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to join our Operations and Compliance Tools team. If you are a problem solver; someone who enjoys debugging code, resolving issues, and creating solutions for common problems, then we would like to talk to you.

Responsibilities

• Be a combination of a highly-technical hands-on software architect and an effective leader.

• Recruit, inspire and develop team members.

• Be a subject matter expert on Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA); hold your own in technical discussions to design and develop front-end interfaces, underlying APIs and backend systems.  

• Work together with provision, virtualization, and security teams and have strategic influence with the AAA products and other engineering organizations.

• Encourage a data-driven culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of AAA applications.

• Communicate cross-functionally across various teams and organizations to drive engineering efforts and product initiatives.

Requirements

• 8 years working experience in tech space.

• Track record of building and shipping scalable distributed systems.

• 3+ years of experience building complex, technically-challenging, cross-functional software oriented projects from inception to delivery.

• Exceptional technical architect with a penchant to design highly scalable web architectures using one or more of the following stacks: Java, Ruby or Go.

• Passion for leading teams and setting the vision.

• A​ technologist at heart and passionate about writing clean code.
