What we need:
We are seeking a smart, driven individual who can learn new concepts quickly and is open to new ideas. The Python Developer role will aid in the design and development of applications for Tackle AI's Artificial Intelligence platform. This position requires you to be able to work independently but also ask for guidance and recommendations when necessary. You will be involved in all areas of development, including coding, testing and debugging highly complex server-based applications using the latest tools and technologies.

This position reports to the SVP of Software Engineering
Your Skills:
Strong communication skills, analytics and decisive insight are critical for this position. You must be able to multi-task with efficiency and meet the expectations of both internal and external customers while working autonomously. Aptitude for learning and a passion for technology will be a strong fit for both the organization and development team. What you will do:

• Create RESTful and gRPC API's for production applications that can handle a large number of concurrent requests
• Work with the machine learning team to deploy ML models in production and write code to process model outputs
• Communicate highly technical results and methods clearly
• Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams
• Write on prem and cloud-based solutions
• Perform rigorous testing on internal and client facing back end systems

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• AWS experience such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, ECR
• REST API development in FastAPI or similar framework (Flask, Django, etc)
• All aspects of gRPC API development
• Interest in designing complex algorithms for data discovery
• Strong Python skills including multiprocessing and threading
• Docker and microservices architecture
• Database skills including familiarity with MongoDB
• Messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• OO programming, design patterns
• Tools such as Postman, grpcurl, etc for testing API's
• Git
• Linux
• Agile (SCRUM, Kanban, XP)

Preferred Experience:

• .NET Core (C#)
• Experience with DevOps and or MLOps is a big plus
• Kubernetes
• Familiar with or interest in deep learning
• Knowledge of distributed systems and accelerated compute infrastructures
• Performance testing experience
