Performance Test Engineer - REMOTE

What You'll Bring:
- 4+ years of experience working with JMeter and/or similar load testing tools, in end-to-end performance testing of systems involving multiple technologies and multi-tier architecture.
- Experience with scripting using Web HTTP/HTML, Web Services, AJAX/TruClient, .NET and Winsock protocols; Ability to customize scripts through the use of programming languages like C, C++ or Java.
- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, best practices, and evolving technologies and trends.
- Expert level skills in performance test tool utilization, including scripting, building and executing scenarios, monitoring, collecting and analyzing performance metrics.
- Expertise in workload modelling, performance test strategy design.
- Strong experience in analyzing system / application performance, including interpreting key performance indicators, identifying performance bottlenecks, analyzing server logs and identifying latency and throughput issues.
We'd love to see:
- Understanding of cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud Infrastructure architectures, designs and recommendations.
- Project experience planning for and executing performance testing in cloud environment.
- Experience working with Product Management, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Data Engineering teams to find the optimal way to scale applications and the infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of HP Performance Center / LoadRunner.

- In the first 60 days: Work closely with Scrum team members to understand TransUnion products, customer needs, and engineer performance tests for existing test suites.
- Beyond 60 days: Work with teams on new applications and products, designing and engineering performance tests for new products, and working with architects and developers to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.
- Work with App Dev teams to build performance engineering into their CICD pipelines and contribute to the DevOps maturity of our applications.
- Contribute to the evolution of TransUnion's Performance Engineering practice by initiating and participating in POC initiatives for new and emerging technologies and tools.
