What Will You Do?

Xaqt is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer who will be foundational in building out our Connected Data and Smart Cities products.

We build software that helps our customers answer their most critical questions. You build the interfaces and APIs that root the answers to these questions in powerful data analysis.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-volume, high-performance, high-availability web applications using libraries and tools such as Typescript, Angular 2, jQuery, Bootstrap, D3, and HighCharts. you will engineer elegant, modular JavaScript components to be used in a wide variety of applications.
• Work very closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and back-end engineers.
• Comfortable in a modern software engineering environment using the latest technologies and tools
• Contribute to defining the team’s technical strategy and advising on technical challenges:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and spearhead changes
• Optimize front-end applications for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Strong desire to build products that will have a daily impact on one of the World’s most important industries
• Play an influential role in growing Xaqt to the industry leader in technology
• Build and improve tools for internal Xaqt teams and customers to understand and analyze large-scale data

You are

• You are a strong coder. Regardless of which frameworks you use or how you learned them, we’re looking for people who can write clean, effective code. You should already have proficiency in Javascript and an understanding of how web technologies work.
• You are passionate about building products that enable users to solve their problems.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
• Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.

Pre-Requisites

• Stellar communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Experience building RESTful web services
• Experience with AWS or other cloud provider is a plus
• An in-depth knowledge of the JavaScript language and Object-Oriented patterns (at least 3 years experience)
• A disciplined approach to testing and code quality assurance
• Understanding of common data structures and algorithms, profiling/optimization, and prior experience working with a JavaScript framework like React, Angular2, Backbone
• Full Stack Software Development experience in both front end and back end technologies.
• Experience in agile environments and comfort with quick iterations
