Network & Network Security Infrastructure Quality Delivery Lead has unique responsibilities to manage and deliver the end-to-end quality and testing activities related to infrastructure-Network & Network Security projects and changes, such as patching, upgrades, integrations, and emergency fix.
• The leadis responsible for ensuring quality engineering practices are applied and delivered for Network infrastructure Engineering & Operations projects to ensure Network & Network Security Infrastructure Changes do not impact clients/business users
• Primary responsibility is managing the delivery of Infrastructure change quality by applying the full lifecycle of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and ITLC (Infrastructure Testing Life Cycle) activities including the planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, demand management , prioritization of workload , resolution of issues, managing incidents and proactive fixes
• Accountable to deliver estimate efforts, track financials, hold monthly meetings with Infra leadership and address failed changes incidents and identify do better opportunities for Network and Network Security changes, testing life cycle and change process optimization
• Develop Roadmaps and maturity plans to enhance and evolve the processes and tooling
• Influence and communicate effectively project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes. with both technical & non-technical audiences
• Accountable to drive quality efficiencies and effectiveness using automated solutions and increasing automated testing capabilities to ensure success of infrastructure network projects and network system changes
• Troubleshoot Test infrastructure issues and ensure problem management post every issue for identifying root cause and update the Knowledge Bank.
• Provided support for all stages of INFRA implementation, triaging and remediating presented issues with timely responses.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and expertise within the infrastructure field to deliver quality programs and projects in-house and on-shore for below areas:
o Network LAN/WAN TCP/IP Principals and Security infra components (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers)
o Security products like Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, OS Hardening, End Point Security, Authentication (OAuth, OIDC, MFA..) & Security Scans (Veracode, Black Duck)
• Responsible for defining Infra Test Delivery strategy, approach and execution for change requests by developing detailed test plans (test methodologies and strategies) for Infrastructure Network Changes testing.
• Provide product/test plan demonstration to Management
• Be accountable for the test coordination and mentor Infra Test Delivery Team and participate in interviews, induction, and training
• Ensuring that the application teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the Infra Test Delivery strategy as defined.
• Build and maintain quality standards and ensure application teams deliver quality testing to validate infra changes by utilizing technical automated test assets and discipline.
• Lead and manage Infra Test Delivery activities such as understanding infra change impacts, prep test plans, perform test execution, deliver test results metrics to key stakeholders
• Accountable for performing root cause analysis for continuous change quality improvement to drive production stability in the infrastructure test delivery programs.
• Be an escalation point for project and change deliver, issue and risk management and stakeholder communications
• Serve as a team lead and plan required talent, capacity and growth to build a robust motivated delivery team
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills using the big picture understanding of core Infrastructure components and architecture
• Lead the coordinate testing with the application teams and Infra change team during infrastructure changes and provide support throughout the resolution
• Collaborate and present program status weekly and monthly cadence with Infrastructure leadership partners and executives
Qualifications - Required Knowledge
• Familiar with Automated Testing Types, Environments, and automation Frameworks
• Solid understanding and some experience in various testing discipline concepts: functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, non-functional requirement testing, and smoke testing
• Test lifecycle experience in delivering high quality infrastructure changes with minimal impacts to applications (test planning, test scenario build, test execution, defect/issue management and test health metrics and status reporting)
• Test management experience including soliciting requirements, producing test strategy, effort estimation and test schedules.
• Experience and Good knowledge in TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, and routing protocols, DNS, addressing and sub netting
• Testing experience on routing policies and load balancing solutions for the using BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocol
• Good understanding of VPN security, knowledgeable in redundant Cisco routers and firewalls
• Good understanding of Computer Systems Architecture and Data Center
• Infrastructure Administration, Automation Concepts, Diagnostics and Troubleshooting.
• ITIL Service Management Concepts (Incident, Problem, Change, Release) and associated tools like ServiceNow
• Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Service Now, Jira, ADO
• Familiarity of Agile Methodology Scrum/Kanban and project management tools like Azure
• COTS Products LifeCycle, Patching, Upgrades and Deployment into Environments Dev, Systems Test, UAT and Prod
• Concepts and Tools of Infrastructure Servers Virtualization, Middleware (Web Servers) ,Storage
• Management(NAS/SAN) and Network LAN/WAN.
• Some understanding of Monitoring, Alerting, and Scheduling Tools and Services (Control-M, Pandora, Splunk, Grafana and etc).
• Service Levels Agreements (SLAs),Service Levels Objectives (SLOs),Service Level Indicators(SLIs).
Preferred Technical Skills
• Network: Traffic Analysis (Deep Packet Inspection), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) & IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems)
• Security: IAM, SIEM, DevSecOPs, Threat Intelligence & DDOS
• Familiarity and experience in Network technology stack is a plus: Load Balancer - F5 product, Network Switches and Routers, Illumio Network Segmentation, Prolexic (NA DC) Secure Connection, Infoblox Life cycle, Firewall Upgrade and Ports, Internet Egress for O365, Cisco Nexus Switches upgrade, Layer 2 (Switch), Layer 3 (Router), Bastion zone/Force scout, TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, BGP (Network Gateway Protocol)
• Familiarity with application security is a plus: Authentication (OAuth,OIDC,MFA..), PCL, ARS, OAM 11G Authentication, SAS(Sastic App security testing), IST (Interactive Security Testing), Threat Monitoring/MS Defender, Spoofing, Tampering, Denial of Services and OWASP -Open Web Application
Personal Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field and equivalent experience.
• Related Certifications in areas of Computer Infrastructure, Testing, and Project Management.
• Provide leadership , build and maintaining relationships with Stakeholders.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and tasks under pressure.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and inquisitive mind sets
• Ability to handle conflict effectively.
• Able to communicate with all levels of management and peers within the organization, written and verbal.
• Flexible with the ability to and work under pressure
• Proactive, strong-minded, quick thinker and assertive.
