Developer, full stack
Description
As Proxima works to provide Sales and Field staff with a mobile field service product, the programmer will interface with our internal Analysis staff to build web and mobile applications per the specifications provided. This role will help develop Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) and mobile products to improve the operations of our customers and the operations of their sales and field service teams.

Proxima is a Chicago-based startup that provides field sales and field service applications across all industries. We build/customize packaged CRM platforms and additional autonomous platforms that help companies improve their operations. We have our own Web and Mobile products that we sell and customize for our customers. Our project sales will increase by over 300% from 2016, and we will continue to strengthen or product portfolio in 2018 and beyond
Function Overview
Accountabilities
Building Custom Open Source Portals and CRM Customizations
– Use open source programming languages and platforms to aid in the design, coding and deployment of a business to business portal
– Leverage queueing technologies and open source RDMS systems to exchange data between portals and other shared technology platforms. Aid in the related design
– Write and support custom code for existing CRM packaged software platforms, including integration between CRM platforms and related portals
Troubleshoot and support production systems
– Leverage case management systems to collaboratively prioritze and perform troubleshooting tasks of systems previously released and during release into production
– Schedule and host internal interviews with Proxima Product Marketing stakeholders to create new requirements for documentation.
Mobile platform Support (Optional)
– Update an existing mobile platform built in both iOS and Android native programming languages
– Program and release new features for mobile application
Skills
- Minimum 0-3 years’ experience in role as a programmer building enterprise level or training at Enterprise level programming
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or equivalent required
- Knowledge and/or experience with php and javascript required
- Knowledge and experience with relational databases and query writing and optimization
- Knowledge and experience with cloud based platforms (Amazon, Rackspace) that use industry standard based Unix operating systems. Ability to navigate and optimize development to cloud standards and products as they become available
- Knowledge and/or experience with Drupal version 8, Node.js, Data queueing (Rabbit MQ or similar) is highly preferred
- Knowledge and or experience programming in Java and Swift/’Objective C’ for Native mobile application development is somewhat desired
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to clearly interpret Functional requirements via both Office documentation and via project repository software.
