The QA Analyst II will be responsible for providing QA support for GoHealth's suite of products. The QA Analyst will be an integral part of our QA Team and play a key role to create and execute test strategies, plans, as well as manual and automation tests in a web-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement test cases for products in fast-paced Agile software development environments
- Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify story coverage.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of testable products to assist in determination of severity of the issues found and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Help determine the root cause of issues, resolve testing issues, and drive issues to closure
- Work as a strong, agile, team-player in a deadline focused environment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and successfully execute meetings with business and technology teams
- Improve the status-quo and maintain a high level of self-motivation
- Collaborates with other product team QA Analysts in planning cross-product line QA activities
- Performs analysis of testing process over time, identifies bottlenecks and weak areas, plans and implements QA process improvements
- Partners with engineering managers, principle engineers, and operations team members to limit risk and employ industry quality best practices
- B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or other related field (equivalent hands on experience in IT field is acceptable)
- 4+ years of experience in QA with a focus on testing browser based web applications
- In-depth understanding of QA processes, approaches, manual and automation methodologies, and software development life cycle, with the ability to apply this knowledge to daily operations
- Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, QTP, Rational tools, Silk Test, or other open source tools)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum of Kanban
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing development environment
- Highly skilled in browser tools, server logs and SQL or MySQL database, using them to identify issue root causes or performing advanced level testing activities
- Ability to see "big picture" impact of quality beyond testing
- Incredible collaboration skills
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery a strong plus.
