Overview of the Role

We are currently seeking a QA Lead with experience in both manual and automated testing. We have multiple products which are web-based applications built with Ruby on Rails and Python. We are looking for someone to start off as an individual contributor and build out the QA team over time. We are looking for someone who can work in a complex enterprise environment where the testing requirements can vary from client to client.

Ways You’ll Contribute

As our Quality Assurance Lead you'll contribute to our evolving tech team - expected to teach, learn, and grow alongside your teammates. You will make sure our users have a flawless experience by guaranteeing our product is released bug-free. Your most important focus will be on a critical testing process, so users receive the best experience possible with the product.

• QA leads define testing strategies to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards.
• Develop test execution schedule for testing activities.
• Responsible for establishing testing milestones and ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development of test cases, and test scripts for all phases of testing.
• Create testing plans, including individual testing phases, and ensure the team meets the deadlines set forth in those plans.
• In order to maintain deadlines, you will also evaluate the team throughout the life of the project to identify areas where improvement can be made.
• As there is always a certain level of risk involved in releasing a new product or service, the QA lead identifies risk and creates plans to mitigate it.

What You’ll Bring

In order to be successful, you will need the following:

• 5+ years’ experience working in quality assurance/product testing with the ability to create and organize all aspects of the quality assurance process.
• Experience creating and deploying QA test plans.
• Detail oriented and organized, with excellent project/time management skills to successfully track multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
• Familiarity with leveraging external partners for QA.
• Need strong interpersonal verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
