What You’ll Do

The Reliability Engineer will be expected to leverage their expertise to ensure Uptake’s customers are enabled to maximize their business value through use of our tools and services.

Uptake’s Asset Strategy Library (ASL) is the world’s most comprehensive knowledge base of asset types, failure mechanisms, and maintenance recommendations. As a primary role, you will assist in continuing to develop the depth and breadth of this knowledge base, while maintaining the current high standards for quality and accuracy. In addition, you will work closely with internal teams including software engineers, data scientists, sales, and customer success representatives, as well as customers themselves to ensure customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Internal and external single point of contact for assigned area of responsibility (i.e., Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems).
  • Assist in the creation or revision of ASL content, including, as needed, leading
  • Develop and maintain a network of partners to leverage specific areas of expertise as needed
  • Support internal Uptake teams as required with:
    • Proposal development
    • Product development
    • Customer interactions related to areas of expertise
  • Provide customer success services such as:
    • Value Based Maintenance Optimization
    • Training
    • Troubleshooting

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of industrial facility experience in areas such as:
    • Maintenance
    • Operations
    • Asset Management
    • Reliability Engineering
  • Working knowledge of equipment types common to industrial facilities
  • Understanding of reliability theory and its application to maintenance strategies
  • Ability to contribute individually and as part of an expert team
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
  • Understanding of electronic database structures and formats 

Preferred:

  • A collaborative mindset, and a record of building successful relationships with colleagues and customers
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, sense of humor, and a passion for Industrial AI

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
