As a Senior Front-End Web Engineer you will be a part of the Intelligence Studio team to continue scaling this application to meet internal and external demand. Right now our platform is based in Angular, JavaScript, Java, Python, REST APIs, NodeJS and we continue to adopt the best of the breed in cloud-native, low-latency technologies. It allows data scientists to focus on doing data science by taking care of essential concerns like data access, logging, configuration, resource negotiation, dependency management, orchestration, and testing. This self-service, data science platform solution connects in with partners in a shared ecosystem, scales by usage, and has the building blocks to help our data scientists and clients move from creation to deployment of a data science project, at scale. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Write and document complex, maintainable code in a number of languages, including JavaScript to develop scalable, flexible and user-friendly applicationsBuild scalable, high-performant web applications using node.js and front-end frameworks, predominantly Angular Identify and develop reusable UI components that serve the needs of multiple applicationsIntegrate front-ends with back-end restful APIsActively participate in team code reviews and enforce quality standardsWork within a cross-functional team to author clear and purposeful epics/storiesWork on automation, continuous integration, and delivery within an agile environment.Be organized to break down work assignments and complete them in a timely manner. Follow the architecture framework to review and approve the usage of components developed by a larger group. WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE: Strong fundamentals in software engineering and object-oriented programming, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, Java Scripting languages and/or frameworks and AngularUnderstanding of data structuresExperience designing and developing front-end UIs5 or more years of applicable software engineering experience preferably in an agile environmentExperience in Java, Python, Flask, NGINX, REDIS, cloud technologies is a plus.Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field#LI-VP1ABOUT NIELSENWe’re in tune with what the world is watching, buying, and everything in between.
