Job Duties
Senior Managers, Middleware/Linux Engineering Services for Chicago, IL location. Manage and oversee the design and implementation of all Linux-based & Middleware systems and solutions to support CCC software in both physical data centers and cloud based environments. Ensure the deployment, high availability, performance, and scalability of CCC infrastructure and applications in a 24/7 x 365 production environment. Plan and oversee implementation, maintenance, and capacity management of the production and development software environments. Select and conduct Proof of Concept exercises on software tools needed to support system processes. Coordinate with the Support, Development and QA Engineer teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Establish operational best practices and standard operating procedures for software deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management. Assess software utilization trends and make appropriate design and implementation recommendations to scale the architecture. Technical environment: Oracle Application Server 10g, Weblogic, Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, ESB, WSM, OSB), Oracle Access & Identity Manager, Oracle Portal, LDAP, Sun Solaris, Unix, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and VMWare.
Qualifications
*Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology plus three years of experience in the job offered or in software design required. Skills Required: Middleware deployment, installation, and maintenance; System monitoring and management software tools; Disaster recovery and recovering complex integration systems; Oracle Application Server 10G, Weblogic, Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, ESB, WSM, OSB), Oracle Access & Identity Manager, Oracle Portal, LDAP, Sun Solaris, Unix, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and VMWare. (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in software design also acceptable.)
