Senior Salesforce Developer / Administrator

The Company is a fully integrated real estate development and property management company with operations in four geographies. The Senior Salesforce Developer/Administrator is a critical member of our technology team, dedicated to ensuring that the Company is maximizing productivity and capitalizing on an array of Salesforce and other related IT systems. The Senior Salesforce Developer /Administrator develops and maintains our SQL code which drives mission critical software applications including Salesforce (for property management operations), banking, accounting, pricing and back-up systems. (SQL development is contemplated for these applications in varying degrees.) The Senior Salesforce Developer/Administrator will lead trouble-shooting and problem solving on a myriad of Company and system issues as they arise partnering with our internal help desk team and third party specialists. Finally, he/she is responsible in partnership with our marketing department for maintaining front-end web  layout, design, and content management of web applications (websites, mobile apps, ILS, and other digital projects) using software development tools and languages. He/she will translate business requirements into effective and creative design solutions using Search Engine Optimization and User Experience best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides end-user technical support on Salesforce and other IT Systems.
  • Conducts routine audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Salesforce administration and development (setting permissions and roles, creating users, updating profiles, manipulating data, managing custom objects, on-boarding properties).
  • Proactively identify and implement required system changes and updates. Delivers new system capabilities and efficiencies.
  • SQL code development, enhancements and maintenance to support ongoing business functions including operations, accounting, pricing, reporting and other business workflows
  • Work closely with Salesforce Developers for system optimization. 
  • Ensures assigned projects and tasks are delivered on time, meet the specified requirements and are of high quality. 
  • Participates in rotating on-call technical support schedule.
  • Experience maintaining web applications using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, JQuery and API's.
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization) support.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer/Administrator.
  • BA/BS Degree. GPA of 3.6 or higher favored. 
  • Language fluency/expertise: SQL, Batch Script (Windows), Java. Apex (a plus, not required).
  • Demonstrated development experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (preferred).
  • Customer-focused- excellent verbal and written communication skills- including ability to communicate technical details to business users and to communicate business use cases to technical teams.
  • Multi-tasking- ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-starter- proactive, quick learner, detail and deadline oriented with ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated professional demeanor and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
