WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Outcome Health is looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to enable and encourage developers and testers to design and implement tests in an efficient way by providing them with the right infrastructure, tools and frameworks. Our development teams should be empowered to iterate rapidly, deploy code frequently and be confident that test infrastructure will provide feedback on any issues introduced. We need an evangelist for automated testing and quality with solid software engineering skills to test our unique infrastructure and be an advocate for maintaining a high quality bar for our software.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Partner with product development teams to create testing, build, and deployment plans per team.
  • Contribute to efforts in developing and maintaining test automation, including continuous integration within the build system.
  • Contribute to efforts in developing and maintaining build pipelines for all Outcome Health applications.
  • Help to create, document, and implement test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
  • Calculate and report test coverage metrics for products undergoing testing.
  • Research and recommend build pipeline tools and resources.
  • Mentor more junior QA team members in the design and implementation of automated tests.
  • Mentor product development teams in the value and benefits of automated testing incorporated early into the development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement different kinds of automated tests including functional, load, performance, and security.
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences about goals, resource needs, timelines, and options.
  • Well organized team player capable of scheduling and delegating project tasks.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development is required, expertise with Spring is desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes (Jenkins, CircleCI, and related technologies).
  • Significant experience in testing RESTful API and test tools/frameworks (e.g. Postman, JMeter).
  • Significant automated testing experience utilizing Selenium and automated testing frameworks.Experience in a high paced agile development environment.
  • Experience with Zephyr or other test case management tools
  • Knowledge of how modern web and mobile applications work.
