Summary of Duties:

Understanding of enterprise message patterns, specifically message queues and HTTP based inter process communications. Implement tasks independently and help team complete project goals. Employ test driven testing development. Effectively deploy applications in production and troubleshoot when necessary. Debug and track-down issues in test and production environments. Effectively work in a Scrum or Kanban Team. Help team with feature grooming meetings by adding or clarifying requirements in stories for estimation. Estimate tasks and project pragmatically. Guide and lead other Software Engineers in completing tasks, fixing issues, and implementing features. Design database schemas and write efficient SQL statements balancing the speed of reading and writing data and size of data required to achieve such. Build component- based websites. Write technical documentation and gather requirements.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field and two (2) years’ in the job offered or related IT role. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field and five (5) years’ of experience in the job offered or role. Experience with Java; Javascript; Spring Framework; MySQL; Couchbase; HTML; CSS; Jenkins; and AWS.
