Overview

You will support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our expanding development operations infrastructure. You will work with development teams to help with the software development process with a mind towards our IT infrastructure. You will report to the Manager of Software Engineering.
Your Role in Action

  • Be a source of expertise for infrastructure, server provisioning and administration, policy enforcement, monitoring, and metrics on systems used by Development
  • Focus on the infrastructure, applications, tools, and automation used by Development, e.g. source code management, code builds, automated testing and provisioning
  • Oversee all infrastructure components of the SDLC, including development pipeline environments
  • Seek, identify, recommend, and document improvements to current processes
  • Strategize, plan, prioritize, schedule, and partner with Development in the production of new solutions
  • Support strategic direction and planning for growth to support our increasing needs
  • Help test all software applications under development
  • Be an escalation point in troubleshooting environments as problems arise, test fixes, and perform follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved


Your Skills

  • Experience with virtualization in enterprise environments (30+ hosts, thousands of VMs)
  • Experience administering both Windows and Linux servers
  • Experience in infrastructure automation and configuration compliance
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell and Ruby
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Virtualization - Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
  • Cloud Services - Azure, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud offerings
  • Experience supporting software development and the SDLC
  • Experience with Atlassian products, e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 or SOC2 compliance
