Systems Engineers ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions and customers. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all operating systems assigned. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Deliver remote desktops and apps from Azure with Windows Virtual Desktop 
•    Experience deploying Windows Virtual Desktop in Microsoft Azure
•    Experience provisioning a Windows Virtual Desktop host pool
•    Experience setting up the Windows Virtual Desktop tenant - provisioning an Azure tenant and setting up Azure Active Directory.
•    Experience with migrating and maintaining VDI workloads in Azure Cloud
•    Plan, design, implement and support Azure, Office 365 and On Premise solutions.
•    Experience with Azure Active Directory & Group Policies
•    ARM Templates + Powershell scripting experience
•    Hands on experience deploying and managing virtual desktops with Microsoft Windows 10
•    Integrate Azure AD with Active Directory Domain Services.
•    Provision the required administrator roles in Azure AD.
•    Should have Extensive experience with standing up and operationalizing Microsoft Azure, leveraging engineering and architectural concepts
•    Provision the required administrator roles in Azure AD.
•    Configure apps and desktops for users
•    Experience with on-prem to cloud VDI replication and DR strategies - Azure Site Recovery, Nutanix Cloud Connect, etc.
•    Experience with VMware & Hyper-V technologies
•    Experience with Active Directory - Group Policy Design & Architecture,
•    Hands on experience with performance monitoring and alerting for cloud workload instances
•    Extensive experience with automation leveraging Azure CLI, PowerShell, VBS to automate and simplify tasks.
•    Collaborate with both teammates and clients to find opportunities for improvement via automation, process improvements, etc.
•    Automate repetitive tasks where possible to improve service delivery and reduce operational overhead
•    Develop and communicate HA / resiliency standards to ensure business and operational requirements are being met.

Required

• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
• 8 -12 years of experience in Citrix technologies
• Highly disciplined approach to testing and documentation
• Technical precision in process and as-built documentation
• Great customer-facing communication focus on follow through in a distraction-driven environment.
• Thorough experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including iterative testing, GPOs, Citrix Policy, UPM, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of Citrix Xen Desktop and XenApp 7.X, XenDesktop 7.X, Citrix Cloud
• Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, design, and implementation in migration of applications from legacy Citrix farms to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Proven success in enterprise virtualization global architectures having multiple Active Directory Domains, XenApp Farms, XenDesktop Farms, PVS Farms, multiple zones, Citrix Policies
• Candidate should have worked on large deployment of Virtual servers including cloning, template deployment.
• Experience with FSLogix in Citrix and/or WVD environments
• Citrix related process debugging experiencing utilizing Citrix tools, Microsoft System Internals Tools, and PVS logging
• ITIL Processes - Change, Incident and Problem management
• Must have experience in creating and maintaining SOPs and documentation
• Must have experience in training L1/L2 engineers
• Experience in handling escalated issues including coordination of a global workforce to address needs quickly
