Who you are:  Mavens is seeking a Software Engineer to join our product team to drive the day-to-day engineering efforts required to improve our software-as-a-service Medical Information Cloud & Medical Information Content Management offerings, which are built on top of the Force.com platform, Salesforce.com’s platform as a service.

Responsibilities

  • Write software in a variety of languages & platforms, with a focus on Salesforce.com.

  • Write maintainable code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional software engineering environment (with source control, dev/stage/prod release cycle, continuous deployment).

  • Stay up to date on the latest industry standard implementation details regarding technologies relevant to product engineering

  • Participate on an Agile team that solves complex challenges and builds working software

  • Provide Level 3 (application development) support for escalated production incidents

 

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management or equivalent field

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing requirements, designing, and implementing new solutions for application and database components

  • 3 + years of experience working with vendor software, technologies and tools that are enterprise solutions

  • 2+ years of Salesforce development experience using Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with Salesforce.com Packaging & the AppExchange

  • Experience with integrations and knowledge of integration patterns (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)

  • Experience in version control and continuous delivery systems (such as Git and Jenkins)

  • Understanding and practice or secure application development concepts (OWASP top 10, Threat Modeling, etc.)

  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and takes pride in improving our customers’ experiences

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing software within the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries

  • Familiarity with FDA software validation requirements

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification or equivalent experience

  • Experience developing on the Amazon Web Services platform
