What we need:

Our dynamic eCommerce Platform team is rapidly growing as we optimize our digital ordering channels and technology innovations to create competitive advantages for our restaurants around the globe. We are seeking a Solution Architect who can provide thought leadership and direction to our engineering teams. In this role, you will design improvements for a highly available eCommerce PaaS to serve our restaurants around the globe. As a visionary technologist, you will also design integrations to business partners, restaurant systems, and payment systems at scale. We believe the best way to lead architecture with credibility is to never stop coding; therefore, our ideal candidate will be as comfortable debugging as they are presenting their designs to executives.

What you'll do:

· Design improvements to our high availability eCommerce Platform as a Service (PaaS)

· Design improvements to our android-based restaurant systems

· Design reusable data models and implement those models in relational and non-relational databases.

· Provide technical leadership to software engineers

· Contribute to the codebase and debug the hardest problems

· Communicate directly with business stakeholders

You have:

· A BS or higher in Computer Science or a related engineering field (MS preferred)

· 10+ years of experience as a software engineer

· 4+ years of experience with node.js

· An outstanding ability to simplify complex problems and communicate them to others

· A demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

· In-depth hands-on work experience with large-scale implementations of GCP, AWS, or Azure

· Experience designing and documenting REST apis

· Experience deploying microservice based SaaS or PaaS applications in a public cloud

· Internationalization experience

· Experience with agile methodologies, tools, and CI/CD tools and processes

· Experience designing high-availability applications

· Experience with message streaming architectures

· Experience with unit testing and/or Test Driven Development (TDD)

· Experience with DevOps technologies (docker, AWS, apigee, CI/CD)
