As the Solution Architect, you will need to see the big picture and determine how new applications and corresponding processes can be used to solve business challenges in a creative, scalable, and impactful way. This role is the liaison between cross-functional teams and is responsible for supporting the development of new projects from conception through deployment. You will work with all facets of the software development lifecycle (analysis, requirements definition, design, development, testing, implementation, deployment and support). You must be a strong communicator, problem solver, thinker and analyzer – with the ability to understand user needs in a rapidly changing business environment.  The Solution Architect will partner with the Account, Project Management, Development and QA teams to deliver the technology platform for the client.

The Solution Architect will be innately familiar with the underlying structure of the Drupal CMS and has a history of building complex full-life cycle implementations, including a wide range of integrations with third party systems, with a focus on maintainability, reliability, scalability, and performance. This role has a breadth of responsibilities in addition to technical development, including a stronger emphasis on scoping and level-of-effort estimation, as well as producing technical documentation and maintaining active client communications.

As an Architect, the individual will develop CMS system architecture, define the system implementation approach and operational concept, ensure requirements are met, and evaluate performance. As this is often a client facing role, it is extremely important that the ideal candidate’s communications skills are exceptional.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

•  Able to run a project and manage tasks for a small team of developers with minimal oversight and direction
• Be visibly active in the Drupal community (e.g., active on Drupal.org discussions, contributes to or maintains a public Drupal project, has presented at a Drupal event, etc.)
• Lead the Drupal development team be accurately advising and assisting fellow solution architects, technical leads, and senior developers on Drupal and related integrated technologies
• Successfully communicate with development team members, project managers, team leads, technical managers and clients
• Act as a main point of contact for external teams to interface with regarding Drupal projects
•  Escalate development issues appropriately to technical managers, project managers, and senior management
• Keep up to date and spread awareness of new/emerging capabilities and trends on Drupal
• Support sales teams when needed as a Drupal subject matter expert
•  Support marketing in several ways: e.g. co-planning, thought leadership, and motivation
• Author as well as review client-facing documentation
• Lead internal technical documentation
• Author technical designs involving complex integrations and multiple servers
• Review technical designs
• Design, Lead and perform difficult development tasks such as complex integrations
• Provide reliable Level of Effort (LOE) estimates
• Work on multiple projects at once
• Experienced in Panels, Views, Features and Rules, core API, CCK/Fields along with other contributed modules
•  Drives code reviews
• Responsible for various aspects of ongoing support and maintenance engagements
• Work closely with Project Managers, leads and developers to manage delivery and ensure smooth execution
• Help Team to foresee technical risks and come up with Mitigation plan.
• Identify the training needs in practice area and participate in trainings.
• Entrepreneurial and self-driven 
• Experienced with Version control systems such as SVN, GIT etc.
• Experienced in Drupal DevOps and deployment models (Cloud and On-prem)
• Experienced in Acquia projects
• Experienced in web architecture and technologies (CSS3, JS, HTML5, AJAX, etc.)
