The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for:

  • Assist with efforts to maintain compliance with the technical aspects of the HIPAA Security Rule, PCI DSS, and other mandated laws and standards
  • Install, maintain, and support Gateway Foundations security systems such as but not limited to Kiwi Syslog, Splunk, Anti-Virus systems, DLP, Encrypted Email Delivery, End point scanning, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention System, etc. 
  • Assist with the technical aspects of efforts to implementation security assessment and audit recommendations 
  • Assist with the technical efforts to support compliance with development of policies, procedures, controls, and technical tools  
  • Assist with technical aspects of the performance of and response to annual security assessment and security related internal audits  
  • Monitor privileged system accounts to ensure principle of least privilege is maintained and separation of duties is adequately addressed or mitigated. 
  • Provide guidance and assistance with infrastructure design to ensure all security requirements.  
  • Participate in the incident response process ensuring that procedures are documented and rehearsed as needed.  
  • Assist Network Operations with developing secure system baseline configurations. 
  • Perform regular quality audits on new and in production systems to ensure they are maintained according to documented security policies and standards.  
  • Act as a Lead or Project Manager on security related technical projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or security management, or a related technical field required
  • CISSP certification highly preferred
  • 3-5 years related cyber security experience
  • Strong communication skills to gather and exchange information with various levels within the organization, business partners and vendors
  • Demonstrate an understanding of project life cycle processes and methodologies
