Job Duties

Prepare, execute, and review test plans, scripts and project testing documentation for software. Set scope and strategy for test plans. Design, develop and build test plans and test scripts. Develop automated software functional test cases using Java/J2EE and Oracle based 3-tier applications. Create, maintain and execute software test automation scripts and automation framework from scratch, and collaborate with software engineering to resolve problems and identify root causes of product defects. Create continuous integration jobs for developed automation suites and analyze the automation suite run results after every new build. Review functional specifications and lead quality assurance walkthrough. Create progress reports. Mentor test engineers. Partner with business systems analysts to conduct functional testing. Technical Environment: Test phase of the development lifecycle (System Scalability, Performance Tuning), creating manual and automated test scripts, functional automation (QTP, Fitnesse), Oracle/SQL Databases, Core JAVA, JAVA, J2EE, JUNIT, WebLogic, WAS/Apache/Glassfish, MQ, AQ, VistaDB Databases, XML, HTTP Watch; Firebug; VMWare Test Environments, Hyperv, Load Runner/Neoload, Selenium, Restful, Web Service Testing, SOAP Rational Functional Tester, SVN, Hudson, Regression Testing, Agile Methodologies, Webservices, SQL Server, MySQL, Scrum, Querying Relational DBS using SQL, Risk Based Testing, data driven test automation, developing test scripts.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology plus two years of experience in the job offered or in software quality assurance testing required OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in software quality assurance testing required.
