Vodori is on the lookout for an inquisitive Sysadmin to help us manage our growing SaaS platform, Pepper. As a member of our Infrastructure Team, you'll become a resident expert on our cloud-based hosting environment – helping manage and implement our application platform with a focus on optimizing our delivery pipeline.
Our newest Systems Administrator will have a passion for supporting infrastructure and a desire to collaborate, innovate, and amplify their skill set. You should have work experience with DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure and a talent for working with cross-functional teams (both technical and non-technical).
Familiarity with Linux server administration (CentOS) is required. We'd also love it if you had experience with Web server configuration (Apache & Tomcat), Database administration (MySQL & MongoDB), and Infrastructure management and automation (Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes). In this role, you will use you will automating tasks using Python, Bash, or other scripting technologies. You will find it very helpful to have previous experience with TCP/IP networking, IPV4, and IPV6, and working with SaaS software in cloud environments.
In 3 months, you will…
- Respond to internal support requests - troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues
- Setup and support client environments
- Demonstrate an understanding of Vodori’s application and infrastructure stacks
- Proactively pick up backlog issues from infrastructure projects
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Help to improve process documentation
In 6 months, you will…
- Identify areas for improvement, make and execute recommendations
- Deploy code and configuration updates to production environments
- Create and analyze infrastructure and application performance metrics
- Configure, respond to, and triage alerts from monitoring systems
- Navigate Vodori’s application and infrastructure stacks fluently
In 12+ months, you will…
- Execute infrastructure support tasks with minimal direction
- Be the “go-to” person for internal and client-facing infrastructure support requests
