The AANA is recruiting for a brilliant Web Application Developer. The Web Application Developer plays a critical role in the Information Systems area of the Information Technology Department and works in tandem with the Application Development Architect. The role provides not only support to primary web applications, but also allows for innovative and best-practice approaches to turn conceptual ideas into real, tangible web applications and processes. Primary emphasis will be focused on core front end web site development and support of organizational goals, system integration initiatives, integration with AANA back-end enterprise information systems, and support and development of current and future API and web service integrations. Manages short and long-term goals with the plans necessary to accomplish agreed upon goals for areas of responsibility. The AANA application foundation is built on top of the Microsoft Development Stack and thus requires a candidate who is knowledgeable in this arena and stays abreast with the continual advances on this stack.

Web Application Development:


Develops, and implements Web applications to support AANA’s various web sites.
Contributes to and improves the software development process;
Creates work flow charts and diagrams using knowledge of programming and logic to document work.
Works with AANA the team to configure web sites to have the look and feel as directed by AANA marketing team. 
Follows development, testing and deployment procedures as developed 
Works with marketing teams and web site authors to ensure content is being presented in the desired manner. 
Uses knowledge of .NET MVC, JS, and CSS to manipulate the AANA web site within association content management system (Site Finity)


Support: 


Works in tandem with Application Development Architect to support all AANA-related applications and systemic processes and objects; 
Establishes effective business relationships with AANA application vendors to ensure operational, effective, and best-in-class interfaces for data, security, and functionality. 
Key team member in developing, testing, and implementing bug and maintenance needs for all applications. 
Professional Development: 
Ensures that knowledge is in alignment with new technologies, approaches, and systems related to AANA applications and systems. 
Demonstrates proactive approach to gaining knowledge on new languages, platforms, and architecture. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Experience: 


BS in Computer Science or MIS. 
1-5 years of relevant experience in an application/software development role. 
Recent experience managing, supporting and deploying applications in a .NET/C#, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and MS SQL Server environment including embedded SQL, stored procedures, DB administration.
Experience with CSS & JavaScript developing Front End Web applications and styling as directed by front end designers. 
Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to cope under pressure and coordinate multiple activities in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

Additional experience to set you apart from other candidates: 


Strong familiarity Sitefinity content management system.
Database administration, querying, and reporting in Microsoft SQL Server. 
Full understanding of SDLC and exposure to DevOps. 
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. 
Related experience in working with healthcare professional membership associations.
Experience in a project based organizational structure.
Experience in agile development, specifically Scrum. 
Experience developing and integrating Cloud/SaaS/mobile applications in a hybrid environment and while managing and automating secure web service and API integrations. 
Exposure and demonstrated experience on the LAMP stack of applications and related tools specifically PHP and Word Press. 

Education/Certification/Licenses:

     
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology discipline or other applicable education required. Master’s degree preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the association. 
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work well and communicate with staff at all levels of the association
