Description:  

This is a very exciting leadership role in accounting and finance. We’re seeking an accountant and financial analyst to lead our accounting and FP&A functions. This person will be responsible for the Balance Sheet & Income Statement, a rolling monthly forecast of Income Statement & Balance Sheet forecast and weekly cash forecasting. If you thrive in a high growth fast-paced environment and are a self starter than this position is for you.  The position will be able to work remotely or from our downtown Chicago offices.

What You Will Be Doing

• Delivering the numbers and insights to leadership to help inform decisions as we grow

• Monthly financial close including preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement with analysis and insights

• Responsible for preparing weekly cash forecast and managing cash

• Record all financial transactions in QuickBooks Enterprise

• Research and analyze any accounting issues

• Responsible for preparing and executing bi-monthly payroll processing

• Develop a model and prepare a rolling forecast and develop variance reporting for senior management

• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently 

• Identify what needs to be done before being told what to do

• Ad Hoc Reporting using Excel

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting 

• Excellent skills in Excel and MS Word

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with Quickbooks Enterprise

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask

• Attention to detail and ability to be thorough in completing tasks

• Desire to help to automate, streamline, and document processes
