Accounting Manager (Chicago-based)
Mobile Doorman is building its world-class accounting and finance team that will help drive the financial operations of the Company. The Accounting Manager will oversee two staff accountants and report to the Senior Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of Financial Accounting activities including month end close, financial statement production and variance analysis
- Oversight of Operational Accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking and general ledger activities
- Management Accounting activities including forecasting and modeling
- Assist accounts receivable efforts pertaining to customer billing issues and AR aging oversight
- Establishment and implementation of departmental budgets
- Oversight of new system implementations as they relate to financial reporting
- Oversight of employee expense reporting
- Ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, public and/or private experience
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional Microsoft excel skills
- Exposure to Quickbooks Online or similar alternative Accounting systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA
- ‘Big 4’ experience
