Job Description Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and the day to day supervision of the team. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities. The Accounting Manager will work with all teams in the company, senior management and our external auditors.

Job Duties

• Coach, mentor and lead accounting and accounts payable staff and manage the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely manner
• Manage an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting
• Perform and review account analyses and reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual reports and related reviews/audits including 401(k) audit
• Review calculations of sales commissions and license fees
• Review and research new accounting pronouncements and assist in implementation, if applicable
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with integration work related to M&A activities
• Support Director of SEC Reporting with special projects and workflow process improvements
• Manage/assist in compliance with internal controls over financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree preferred
• CPA required
• 8+ years of total accounting experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience at a public company
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Workday Financials and Hyperion ESSBASE and Reports is a plus
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
