Title: Senior Accountant

What you’ll do:
• Manage the financial reporting process, including the month-end close process for five entities
• Analyze / reconcile balance sheet accounts and key profit and loss accounts with follow-up on outstanding issues
• Facilitate submission of monthly reporting package to Amsterdam office
• Work closely with Middle Office to facilitate, understand and analyze internal trading information flow between departments, also working to find efficiencies in that reporting
• Responsible for complying with US reporting requirements for broker/dealers (i.e. prepare FOCUS filing, year-end financial statements, net capital reporting)
• Interface with third party auditors and coordinate with other internal parties to complete and provide all information as required for regulatory and financial audits
• Assist in maintaining the General Ledger system
• Ensure the integrity of all accounting records including General Ledger, Income Statement and Balance Sheet reporting
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset across responsible activities and collaborate with other members of Finance to find on-going opportunities to support and add value to the business
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
• Public accounting experience a plus
• Series 27 a plus
• CPA certification
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Highly motivated individual able to handle multiple priorities working within established deadlines
