The role is an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to support a fast paced entrepreneurial organization that is passionate about food brands and seek to continually use optimal business tools and innovative ways to deliver for our clients and customers. Our business teams are nimble, dynamic and hungry to deliver innovative products and solutions on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
  • Match PO's to Vendor invoices, validate amounts and resolve variances
  • Timely and accurate input of vendor invoices to be paid
  • Ensure bills are paid within agreed-upon terms
  • Reconciling vendor statements to ensure past due invoices are paid
  • Timely and accurate input of purchase orders in inventory system
  • Timely and accurate input of vendor invoices to be paid
  • Reconciling Purchase Orders to final invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Answers vendor inquiries
  • Obtain proper approval for vendor invoices
  • Be able to communicate with other teams to resolve discrepancies

Basic Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the Finance team of a mid-sized business, preferably in the wholesale food and beverage or CPG industry
  • 1-2 years of experience working on A/P
  • High School degreed

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Intermediate office software skilled, including Excel, Word QuickBooks Enterprise or other CRM and ERP system knowledge
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of accrual accounting, payment terms, and inventory management
  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to take initiative and resolve issues proactively
  • Able to collaborate with different teams and team members
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
