The Northern Trust Sr. Asset Data Business Process for our Chicago based headquarters

Overview:

This individual is responsible for an end-to-end process analysis and design with an understanding of technical and operating challenges and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. Role creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes.

Responsibilities:

• Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact• May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management• Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees• May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)• More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas• Delivers a work product that requires less revision• Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

Qualifications:

• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred• At least 3 years business operations experience preferred• Demonstrated analytical skills and organizational skills are required to research and resolve inquiries within scheduled timeframes to meet client deadlines• Basic knowledge of accounting, finance and securities, usually obtained through business related coursework and/or prior related experience preferred• Considered a plus: familiarity with fixed income securities, advanced excel skills, SQL, Bloomberg terminals preferred• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills are required• Highly flexible and adaptable to change- Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact• Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are required to value the funds in a timely and accurate manner• Ability to absorb information quickly, work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy is critical
