As a member of the executive team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will manage all aspects of the strategic financial planning, global accounting and financial compliance functions for Relativity.

 

The CFO will lead Relativity’s financial management, capital funding and contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals. As an integral member of our executive team, s/he will strengthen the processes and infrastructure needed for the substantial growth and evolution of our business over the next five to 10 years.

 

The ideal CFO candidate will add judgment and insight to our operational metrics, prioritize financial decisions for impact, lead relationships with current and prospective investors and continue to develop members of our finance and legal teams. Description

  • Play a strategic role in ensuring Relativity’s long-term success
  • Enhance financial reporting capabilities, including forecasting, to ensure the business can operate effectively on a global scale
  • Lead Relativity’s financing efforts and relationships with investment partners, including owning key metrics and reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly with investors, analysts, and other financial relationships
  • Responsible for working across the business with Executive peers to achieve Relativity’s financial objectives
  • Lead Relativity’s planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and other strategic financial matters; advise Executive peers on these processes
  • Serve as the leadership liaison to the Board of Directors and audit committee; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at board of directors and committee meetings
  • Contribute to the development of Relativity’s short- and long-term strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual and long-term budget processes, monthly forecasting process, and monthly and quarterly close process; delivering status reports to the Board of Directors
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide analytical support to Relativity’s management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities
  • Serve as an advisor to Relativity’s Total Rewards team on the equity benefit program
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of finance, accounting, purchasing and facilities functions
  • Ensure we have the right team in place that can operate a complex, fast-moving, always-changing company while complying with strong forecasting and accounting standards
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and learning that values a commitment to delivering high quality product to our customers
  • Ensure team members receive timely and appropriate training and development
  • Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach: clarify responsibilities; set clear goals; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results
  • Evaluate and enhance current system of financial policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-growing software technology company
  • 10-15 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting, including a minimum of 7-10 years in an executive management role
  • Three or more years managing and developing high performing teams
  • Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, MBA
  • Clear track record of leadership and results in the technology industry
  • Clear track record of leading financing efforts and involvement in investor and analyst relations
  • Experience managing a rapid growth company in a high-potential market
  • Experience dealing with high levels of complexity in a fast-moving, global culture is a strong plus
  • Experience managing the trade-off between growth and profitability
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, ambition, and outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong verbal and negotiation skills a strong plus
